The vision of MedTour project is to develop and implement a strategy to promote Mediterranean as a unique and homogeneous tourism destination.
The main objective will be achieved with the development of an integrated Mediterranean brand identity overlooking country borders, considering alternative tourism products such as cultural, religious, wellness, spa, medical, nautical, agro tourism and others and by employing new communication and digital technologies.
The project's Integrated Mediterranean Tourism Strategy (IMTS)
will encourage local Governments to remove barriers and work together to advance air and sea transport, improve quality of infrastructure and services, attract investment for regional tourism projects and, in close cooperation with businesses, to develop and implement attractive and competitive common tourism products, for the benefit of every destination and country in the region.
The aim is to establish the Great Sea as a Unique Tourism Destination.
